District 10 RCMP and The RCMP Major Crime North have concluded that the death of an elderly couple found in their home was the result of a murder-suicide.
The autopsies revealed that 70-year-old Vernon Michaud and 70-year-old Rita Michaud died as the result of gunshot wounds. The police investigation shows that Vernon Michaud shot his wife, Rita Michaud, and then turned the gun on himself.
