Liberal Candidate Annabelle Juneau questions Tory MLA on budget vote

Newly nominated Liberal candidate Annabelle Juneau is wondering why Conservative MLA Tony Huntjens voted against the 2010-11 provincial budget last Wednesday.
Juneau wants answers to why Mr. Huntjens voted against funding for the twinning of Route 1,a dialysis machine at the Charlotte County hospital, funding for the new DOT facility in St. Stephen, and three nursing homes in the area, along with funding for the St. Andrews community college and major road work in St. Stephen.

David Alward’s Conservatives have repeatedly claimed that the Liberal government is spending $1 billion too much in its 2010-11 budget.

Juneau says It’s quite alarming that Mr. Alward claims he would make such a drastic cut without providing any details on which services he would slash or gut.

Twenty-nine Liberals voted in favour of its passage, while nineteen Conservatives voted against. David Alward was not present for the vote.
