Accident On Spring Street St. Stephen

One man is faceing drinking and driving charges after he slamed a car into a hydo pole on Spring Street.    RCMP tell us the car was speeding up the road before it hit the pole then the driver fled from the scene. He was arrested a short time later. RCMP tells Tide News alcohol played a factor in the crash and  the man will be appearing in court on a later date to faces charges. Power was knocked out for a short time.

Charges laid in Moncton Womens Murder case

A Charge of first degree murder has been laid in a murder case of a Moncton women almost a year old. Thirty two year old Micheal Hewitt of BC has been charged with the murder of Angela Crossman. Her body was found last June on a road in Vancouver.

Gas Prices

The decline in gas prices we have seen over the last three weeks has ended after the weekly setting. Self serve regular has gone up by more than a cent to 97.5 cents a litre. Diesel has risen by more than 2 cents Propane went down by almost a cent and heating oil is at an even 88 cents.
Cross Border gas is selling for 76 Cents Canadian per litre.
