Canada Post Makes Top 100 List

For the fourth year in a row.......Canada Post has made the list of the country's Top 100 employers. Compiled by Mediacorp, the corporation was selected from 16,000 companies invited to participate. Yesterday, we learned that NB Power has made the list as well.


Canada Post has more than 6600 offices across the country and processes a staggering 45 million pieces of mail every day.

Fire Destroys Home

Not a great way to start off a long weekend. Lawrence Station and Rollingdam Fire Department responded to a structure fire this morning in the Tryon area. Fire officials tells us nobody was home at the time but the house was destroyed by the blaze.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Top Honor for NB Power

NB Power has been named by Media-Corp as one of country's top 100 employers for 2010. This is the third consecutive year the public utility has been in the top 100. President and CEO David Hay says they are very honoured to be recognized nationally and for three consecutive years is significant.


NB Power employs 2500 people.

Service New Brunswick Closed On Monday

Charlotte County residents are reminded that All Service New Brunswick service centres and offices will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Service New Brunswick TeleServices call centre will also be closed. Regular hours resume on Tuesday.
