Ground was broken in Fredericton today for the city of Frederiction's new transit operations centre.
The Transit operates eight bus routes throughout the municipality. The transit centre will provide a storage and service facility for the fleet of 28 transit buses and three para-transit buses and allow for future growth of services.
The total cost for this project is $6.1 million with a federal contribution of $5.7 million from the 2006 Public Transit Capital Trust and $423,000 from the City of Fredericton.

Calais Regional Hospital Named a Top Performer
Calais Regional Hospital has been recognized with four awards for healthcare service quality for 2009 by Avatar International. The Hospital was one of 18 hospitals to receive the Overall Best Performer award, which represents the top 5% in Avatar's National Database.
