Dumpster On Fire

The  St. Stephen Fire Department was called today at 12:20pm for a Dumpster Fire behind the St. Stephen Provincial Building at 41 King Street, St. Stephen.

No one was injured and firefighters quickly put the fire out.

Halloween Will Stay On October 31 in St. Stephen

Speculation has been rising around Town as to whether Halloween will be held on October 31 as it falls on a Sunday..

The Town of St. Stephen wants to set the story straight and confirms to Tide News Halloween will Be held On Sunday October 31st.

The Town will not be changing the Date because if falls on a Sunday this year .

Gas Prices On The Rise

As we head into the long weekend gas prices have risen after the weekly setting with the maximum price that can be charged for self serve regular and diesel rising by more than 4 cents a litre.

A litre of self serve regular is selling for 101.5 around town today. Propane is also up by just over a cent and there has been a rise of almost five cents a litre for heating oil with the maximum price at 95.1 cents.
