  Meanwhile, Andrew Oland President of  Moosehead tells Tide News, in November Minister Doucett ask if there was a way they can become a part of the lobster industy.Oland says he would support in any way for the local lobster industry and the businesses:

Oland says we trust this promotion will help with the lobster sales and hoping to do more in the near future.
The promotion begins on Friday, and will be running until the end of July in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI.

Alot of people like beer and lobster and now the two are joining together to save you money.The Atlantic Superstore and Moosehead Breweries joined a partnership for a lobster promotion for the province.This was announced today by Fisheries Minister Rick Doucett in Dipper Harbour. Doucett tells tide news if you purchase a specially marked 12 packed of Mooseheads Clancy 's Amber Ale you will recieve a coupon for 5$ dollars off the price of live or cooked lobster from Altantic Superstores.

 Doucett says this is a great opportunity for the three martimes provinces to partership with our local industry and businesses.

 WAR AMPS AND RCMP BLITZ AREA SCHOOLS WITH SAFETY MESSAGE

Charlotte county students will be presented with a some safety tips this week on how to play safe.Communtiy Program Officer Lisa Williams with the St George Detachment of the RCMP will give an hour -long presentations to children in grades two to five .
PLAYSAFE was created when the Association began to see children enrolling in CHAMP who had lost limbs in accidents that could have been prevented.The War Amps presentation will run through the entire week.

 New Laboratory At Bioligical Station

he Minister of Fisheries and Oceans Gail Shea and Minister of Veterans Affairs, Greg Thomspon announced the construction of a new wet laboratory building at the St. Andrews Biological Station .
 This project, which is expected to begin by the end of the month, will create  25 full-time jobs and maintain the equivalent of another 117."
 Work is expected to take approximately 65 weeks to complete, with all phases of modernization completed by June 2012.


 

Ribbon Cutting

There will an official ribbon cutting ceremony this fall on a new border crossing in St Stephen--- Southwest M-P Greg Thompson says the project is overdue about 30 years and goes hand in hand with another major project underway on Highway One---

Thompson says he expects to open up the new border crossing station sometime this fall, no indication of when the twinning of Highway One to Stephen will be wrapped up.
