The Musquash Fire Department, River-Valley Ground Search and Rescue along with RCMP are combing an area near Musquash. This after the call went out about a missing person last night. No word on how old or whether it is a boy or girl they are looking for.
We have placed a call to RCMP for more details and are still waiting to hear back.

Structure fire

Nobody hurt after a house went up in flames yesterday in Upper Mills. St Stephen fire department along with Oak bay and Calais were on the scene for roughly two hours. St Stephen Fire Chief Jeff Richardson tells Tide news the fire started around 3:50 in the afternoon at 1549, 12 smith Rd in Upper Mills. The fire remains under investigation but we do know this is not connected with the rash of arsons that took place 2 weeks ago in the St Stephen area. The house was vacant.

New River Station Bridge

The Department of Transportation is closing the New River Station Bridge #2 in the Lepreau area starting tomorrow. The 31 year old structure is getting some repairs.
The bridge is between Lepreau and Lake Utopia on what's commonly reffered to as the Old Saint John Highway. Work is expected to take about 2 weeks.
