The Maine Center for Disease Control  has identified three new cases of the H1N1 influenza, bringing the total number of cases in the State to 10. Newly identified cases include a child in Cumberland County, and one adult in both York and Kennebec Counties.
 You are reminded that you should Cover your coughs and sneezes with a tissue or sleeve, Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze.

Latest Gas Numbers Are Out

 The price of gasoline continues to hover beneath the 90-cent a litre mark. The Energy and Utilities Board has released it's latest price schedule which shows a litre of self-serve going for 88.1 cents which is up just under two cents from seven days ago. 
Most station here at home are selling a litre of self serve for 88.9.

Diesel is down a penny at 85.2, Furnace Oil is down percentage points at 67.9 and propane drops as well landing at 81.9.

The town is Quiet; those are those words from the town manager. Out of a population of 1600, there are three hundred out of work. Baileyville is not the same after Domtar mill is under an indefinite closing says Dorothy Johnson.Dorothy tell tide news what are residents going to do to find work to support their families

 Johnson says domtar mill is not the only business that is feeling the economic crunch. She says Folgrum Fibres next door to the mill has laid off 31 workers, Jason’s Pizza is closing their doors this Saturday and Vestcom Security with domtar is laying off part of their work force.

The Mayor of St Stephen is not commenting on a proposel that would see  LNG tanker traffic pass through passamaqoddy bay.Tide news asked if he is in faver of a LNG terminal setting up shop in neighboring maine but Jed Purcell says at this time he would not rather say anything. Calais Mayor Vinton Cassidy told tide news he and most of the residents in the city are in favor of a LNG terminal.
