Relay Surpasses $ Goal

St. Stephen's 10th Annual Relay for Life surpassing its goal this weekend.


The Relay for Life Committee saying last week they hoped to raise enough funds to reach $50,000.

Committee member Ron Goodine tells Tide News $61,250 has been raised so far, with more donations expected in the coming days.

On Friday evening, cancer survivors, 29 participating Relay teams, and lots of spectators were behind St. Stephen High School for the 12 hour event.

The Relay had a great night, dispite having the entertainment being rained out in the early part of Saturday Morning.

West Isles Meeting Tonight in Deer Island

There will be a meeting tonight in Fairhaven, for the Local Service District of West Isles.


The purpose is to elect a new local service advisory committee.

The meeting gets underway at the Deer Island Community School, starting at 6:30.
