Dogs Save Lives In Fire

Saved by the dog.

Two women are safe after being woken up by their barking dogs after an overnight fire in their home on the lower west side.

The Canadian Red Cross say there was extensive fire damaged on the older wood-frame duplex at 158 Winslow Street, Saint John that occurred around 3:00 am.
Canadian Red Cross disaster volunteers arranged emergency lodging, food and other help for the two women, who have three dogs and five cats.
City Police believe arson to be the cause.
