Air Miles is imposing an expiry date on reward miles starting today. It says participants in the Air Miles reward program will be required to use their existing miles before December 31st, 2016. Reward miles earned after New Year's Eve will only be valid for five years after they're first posted.
Until now, the miles never carried an expiration date.
