Fredericton Girl Names RCMP Puppy

Out of 9125 entries in Canada to name one of ten RCMP puppies an 11 year old Frederiction Girl recieved a prize.

Eleven year old Julia Leahy was the only New Brunswicker to receive an award. Julia won for her submission of the name “Cody”.

Sgt. Pierre Gardner of the RCMP New Brunswick Police Dog Service presented Julia with her prize of an 8×10 laminated photograph of “Cody”, an official RCMP ball cap, a plush dog named “Justice” and a certificate. Congratulations Julia!

This contest is a annual RCMP “Name the Puppy” contest held by the RCMP Police Dog Service Training Centre in Alberta.
