NBCC Explosion sends Instructor and Student to Hospital

Two people taken to hospital Wednesday evening after an explosion at NBCC in Saint Andrews. This incident took place during a scheduled Training activity for the Hospitaility and Toursim program. Principal Terry Dempsey tells Tide News the Instruction has been transported to the Saint John Regional for further assessment and the student is expected to be released from the Charlotte County Hospital today.

Dempsey tells us this is a very unfortunate incident that occurred, in spite of all the experience and safety precautions.

WorkSafe NB is conducting an investigation. The cause has yet to be determined.
