The provincial Opposition Leader is voicing continued concerns over the mounting costs of the Point Lepreau refurbishment. The 1.4 billion dollar project is now at least 150 million dollars over budget--and--that extra cost was for a five month timeline extention. The project is now seven months behind schedule and expected to be finished early next year.
David Alward says a non-partisan committee should be set up to oversee the work and promote trans-parency and account-ability.
