Opposition Leader David Alward is concerned about the delays in the Point Lepreau refurbishment, and its potential cost to New Brunswick ratepayers.
The project was originally pegged at a cost of $1.4 billion, however, the continuous delays are costing New Brunswickers more and more each day. The extra cost was originally estimated to be over $150 million when the project was only five and a half months behind schedule. It is now seven months behind schedule, and said to be completed in early 2010.
