State Police have released the names of the three people stabbed to death.


They are 55 year old Jeffrey Ryan and his 10 year old son Jesse Ryan and 30 year old Jason Dehahn. The homicides took place at Ryan's house on Route 1 and detectives think the killings took place in the early morning hours of Wednesday. Dehahn was a friend of Ryan's and also lived in Amity.

A team of State Police detectives and crime lab personnel have spent the day gathering evidence from Ryan's property and conducting interviews.

Police have received some calls from the public of possible locations of Ryan's missing 1989 Ford blue and silver pickup truck , but there have been no confirmed sightings.

Province Supports Efficiency Upgrades At Blacks Harbour Fish Processor

A funding announcement today in Black Harbour at Connors, Premier Shawn Graham along with Fisheries Minister Rick Doucet were on hand to make the announcement. Doucet Tells Tide News  the government 's investment in this long standing Company not only secures it's future but that of it's workers and the surrounding communities that have relied on it for generations.
The provincial government is making an investment to help Connors Bros. complete efficiency upgrades to its processing plant by providing them with a $3-million forgivable loan as part of a $12-million project that will help maintain more than 1,000 jobs in the southwestern of the Province.

Connors Bros. is one of Canada's oldest food producers and the largest producer of canned sardines worldwide. In 2004, the operations of Connors Bros. merged with those of Bumble Bee Seafoods LLC and Clover Leaf Seafoods Co.

Official Opening of The Liberal Headquarters

The Campaign is officially underway in Charlotte County. Shawn Graham had a BBQ lunch in Town Square before walking his way up to 49 King Street and cut the ribbon to Annabelle Juneau's campaign headquarters. Graham wasted no time telling us what his government has done leading up to the Election.

Graham say as a government they have taken a number of initiatives over the past three and a half year but that was all designed to keep people in this province. The our community the Liberal government has worked to support local companies like Ganong's, SWP, Sticks and Stone as well as the Flakeboard a a number of companies to keep providing jobs for this region.

Graham tell us as the September 27th Election approaches the Liberals are making progress in Education, Health Care , infrastructure on Highways. Graham this is a riding he knows he can win.


Triple Homicide& Missing Truck


State Police continue to investigate a homicide near Houlton in which three people have been killed, and they are looking for a pickup truck taken from one of the victims.
Police are looking for a 1989 Ford F-150 pickup truck which was missing from the homicide scene and are asking for the public's help in locating the vehicle . The truck is blue and silver with Maine license plates 4 1 5 5 R Y .

Gas Prices On The Rise




Gas prices in the area taking a jump after the weekly setting. Self serve regular has risen to 100.0 a litre, a rise of more than 3 cents and diesel is also more expensive, going up by more than 2 cents a litre. The price of propane has been pegged at 101.9. Meanwhile cross border gas is going for 78 cents a litre Canadian.

Triple Homicide & Missing Truck

State Of Maine Police are investigating a homicide near Houlton in which three people have been killed, and they are looking for a pickup truck taken from one of the victims. The deaths were discovered Wednesday night at a home along Route 1 in Amity, about 15 miles south of Houlton. The victims are two men and a young boy and detectives say all were stabbed to death. The names of the victims are being withheld as relatives are being notified.
Police are looking for a 1989 Ford F-150 pickup truck which was missing from the homicide scene and are asking for the public's help in locating the vehicle . The truck is blue and silver with Maine license plates 4 1 5 5 R Y . The truck has two different colored wheels - white in front and silver wheels in the back. It also has running lights on top of the cab, above the windshield.
