A St. Andrews artist is all smiles after earning the $300 Cooke Aquaculture Award. Simone Ritter took first prize at The Art of Food Juried Art Exhibit at Sunbury Shores on Friday. Ritter’s winning painting, Our Love of Food, Serving You, was inspired by her husband, Master Chef Markus Ritter, and his staff at Europa Restaurant. Second prize – the Nautical Nancy’s Restaurant Award - was won by Philip Savage, of Quispamsis, and third prize – the Honeybeans Coffee Tea & Treats Award - went to David Reeves, also of Quispamsis. The exhibit attracted entries from around the Maritimes.The exhibit is open until Nov. 4
