The
wolves are at the door everyday.......That's the situation facing all
too many workers according to the new President of the Provincial
Federation of Labour.
Patrick
Colford of Miramichi tells Tide News the clock is being turned back with
a huge gap between the rich and the rest of us. He says there are
workers with full-time jobs who are having a tough time providing for
their families. Despite that, he's optimistic about the future,
believing the Harper Government will pay a price for its reforms to
Employment Insurance.
Colford
is a member of the Canadian Union of Public Employees and ran federally
for the NDP. Ron Oldfield of the Saint John and District Labour Council
also ran for the Presidency but lost out to Colford.
