At only 17 years old Kali O'Dell's life has already been changed by
drunk driving. But the high school student, whose mother and father were
both killed in a car accident caused by an impaired driver --to become
a spokesperson against driving under the influence.
She's recently been recognized for her efforts, as TD Canada Trust has
granted her a $70,000 scholarship for her work as founder of Teens
Against Drunk Driving (TADD) at her high school.
O'Dell tells Tide News she's worked so hard to get the message out to
teens because as the next generation of teachers, politicians, and
public servants they will shape tomorrow's policy on drinking and
driving.
O'Dell plans on using the scholarship to attend UNB Fredericton and major in English and History.
