Once again RCMP will be enforcing their zero tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol this weekend and next as many will be celebrating graduation.
Open liquor will be seized, and those found in possession of open liquor will be subject to fines of $172.50. Bob MacKnight with the RCMP tells Tide News providing liquor to a minor will land you a fine of $292.50
Macknight tells us they are aware of the organized events, as well as a number of planned parties being held elsewhere. and says their priority will be to prevent anyone from causing harm to themselves or others.
Officers will, in particular be focused upon identifying and arresting those drivers who have been drinking and/ who are driving in an aggressive manner.
