H1N1 continues to be widespread in Maine, though there is evidence that it may be declining. Four people have died of the disease this past week, bringing the total to 11 since July. A news release from the Department of health says all deaths have been among adults with serious underlying medical conditions. However, hospitalizations, school absenteeism, and outpatient visits have all declined this past week.
There will be a clinic for the H1N1 next Wednesday in Calais starting at 8 in the morning until 1 pm Calais Elementary School
