There's a call to allow the killing of more moose in the province. The provincial wildlife federation wants the government to offer more tags for the three-day hunting season. Federation president Roland Michaud says the Department of Natural Resources has under-estimated the moose population. He says the possibility might be there to increase the quota significantly in some management zones.
This week, just over 34-hundred hunting licences were granted for the season.
